The calming rural environment surrounding Lajatico (Andrea Bocelli was born here), 15 km North-West of Volterra, is known for it’s endless hilly landscape.
The agriturismo situated in this area is owned by the Signorini family, and has recently been fully restored, and made very comfortable. The agriturismo has four holiday apartments. Three of them on the ground floor, and one on the first floor. They all have a nice private terrace with wonderful views, especially on Volterra.
There is also a big common space that every guest can use for social activities, and where a meal can be served. On request the mother of the owner will make you a continental breakfast or a tuscan meal.
Italian lessons, or painting lessons are possible, always on request.
On arrival the owner welcomes you with an 'Aperitivo di Benvenuto': a welcoming drink and some typical tuscan food.
He will also offer seasonal vegetables and fruits from his garden. There is a micro market.
The apartment Bianco is situated on the first floor. To reach it you´ll have to use an outside staircase. The apartment has a living room with a big kitchen area and a sofabed, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, It opens onto a large terrace on the first floor, wher you can have your meals in an outside panoramic atmosphere.
Signorini' agriturismo is an excellent and quiet place to stay during your holidays, with all kinds of possibilities

About Lajatico
Lajatico is situated 12 km northwest of the beautiful town of Volterra (Etruscan Museum). It is the birth ground of the famous lyric singer Andrea Boccelli, who built a splendid open air theater 'Il Teatro del Silenzio', with the gently sloping Tuscan landscape as a setting.
