Just outside the characteristic and attractive little village of Montecastello is the stylish restored Agriturismo Montecastello. This beautiful agriturismo has 8 holiday apartments spread over 2 buildings. There is a nice swimming pool with hydromassage. There is a wonderful cool cave where you can drink marvelous wine, protected against the summer heat. A short pleasant walk leads you to the village, which has a grocer, bar and restaurant, while the main cultural highlights of Tuscany are at a relatively small distance.
The surroundings are perfect for walks or trips on a mountainbike or horse. The caretaker can help you with organising these trips.
At a distance of one km, you find a nice restaurant that organises cooking lessons in the morning, followed by a lunch prepared by yourself.

The holiday house Volterra is on the ground floor with direct access to the garden. There is a living room with kitchen area, a bedroom with double bed and a bathroom (wc, bidet, shower, washing stand). There is a sofabed in the living room for the extra person.

About Montecastello
The fortified medieval village of Montecastello is known for its gorgeous castle of the Marchese Torrigiani Malaspina, which is situated on top of the hill, overlooking the hilly landscape of central Tuscany. The Marchese Torrigiani Malaspina is still living in his castle.Montecastello (200 inhabitants) has a bar, a small grocery store, and and a post office. The village is situated in the green Valdera landscape, between olive trees, although you are on a 25 minute distance of the Pisa Airport.
The marvelous restaurant Osteria Alpaca just outside the small village, has very good meals, made with ecological products.
