Pianello is situated on the ground floor, in a big Casa Colonica on the country side, near the medieval village Montefoscoli (municipality Palaia) (it's a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes by car).
It's a comfy, fully restored and big 1-chamber apartment with excellent supplies. The living room with a kitchen area, and the bedroom are being separated by a closet wall. You can enjoy the splendid panoramic views from the house, situated in a very nice hiking area. It's a nice pied à terre for culture and nature devotees.
If you want, the hostes can make you a very nice vegetarian meal, with biological products they grew themselve, a lunch or supper will cost you 20 euro all in, and a breakfast costs 5 euro.
full pension is 40 euro a day.
The owners also provide the possibility of using the internet.

About Montefoscoli
The quiet village Montefoscoli (600 inhabitants) is situated among the gently sloping hills of the Valdera, and has a great view towards Volterra and Pisa.
Small shops, a restaurant, two bars, postoffice.
The rural committee looks after guided tours in the 'Museo dellla Civiltà Contadina' and the 'Museo Andrea Vaccà'. You can also visit the temple which Andrea Vaccà, inhabitant of Montefoscoli and famous doctor in the Empire period, built in 1823, 1km outside of Montefoscoli
The Vespaclub has its seat here (in Pontedera, nearby, is the Vespa-museum)
For the rural festivals in May and in September everyone in the village is really committed. This is a village where tradition is important, and community sense a fact.
In the surroundings of Montefoscoli beautiful walks can be made. Tenant gets descriptions for these walks, a plan, and tips for restaurants, markets, dinners at individuals, cook at your home adress, tasting of Tuscan dishes etc.
