At a walking distance of 5 minutes from the medieval town of Palaia, Gelsomino is situated in free and hilly Tuscan countryside.
It has a private swimmingpool, no other guests.
Livingroom with kitchen area (fridge, freezer, oven, etc). Bedroom with one double bed, and one single bed. There can be added for an eventual fourth person (preferably a child) an extra bed. Bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower.
Both livingroom and bedroom give on to the terrace, in the shadow of the jasmine (gelsomino) where is a nice area to sit and have your meals.
Parasols near the swimmingpool.
Excellent place to spend a quiet and relaxing holidays in the tuscan countryside.

Op een loopafstand van 5 km van het middeleeuwse stadje Palaia ligt, in de rust en schoonheid van de Toscaanse natuur de wonig Gelsomino. Men heeft hier de beschikking over een privé zwembad (geen andere toeristen)
De woning bestaat uit een woonkamer met keukenhoek (oven, vier gaspitten, koelkast met vriesvak, filter koffiezetapparaat etc) eettafel en zithoek, en ernaast een slaapkamer met 2p-bed en 1p-bed. Voor een eventuele vierde persoon (bij voorkeur een kind) wordt een vouwbed erbij geplaatst.
De woonkamer en de slaapkamer komen beide uit op het mooie terras, waar een eethoek geplaatst wordt, om heerlijk in de schaduw van de jasmijn (gelsomino) te kunnen zitten. Bij het zwembad zijn parasols en ligstoelen.
Men kan hier dus genieten van het Toscaanse plaateland, met een leuk dorpje op loopafstand, voor de boodschappen, terrassen en restaurants.

About Palaia
The splendid medieval little town Palaia (900 inhabitants) has much activity. One imagines oneself in the past, when one sees the old crafts, practiced in the village. There are shops, some bars, terraces, restaurants, a 'gelateria' (ice-cream), pizzeria,postoffice, bank etc. without the village losing its authenticity.
In the middle of the village is the 'Rocca' a rock, that one can climb and from where one has a splendid view. Just a little outside of Palaia there is the church 'Pieve di San Martino'. The panoramic views in and around Palaia are fabulous.
In the surroundings of Palaia beautiful walks can be made. Tenants get descriptions for these walks, a map, and tips for restaurants, markets, dinners at home of individuals, cook at your home adress, tasting of Tuscan dishes etc.
