On a distance of 7km from the historic centre of Volterra you find the agriturismo Giulia with several holiday apartments, in a splendid panoramic position. This is the place to enjoy the peacefulness and the beauty of the gentle tuscan landscape. These holiday houses are well reachable by car.
The agriturismo has a total of 12 accommodations. It makes you think of a medieval 'borgo', with its arcs, bridges, piazzas.
Each holiday house has direct access to a private external space with its own garden furniture.
The apartments are authentically tuscan, with original vaults etc. They are comfortable and tastefully furnished.
The swimming pool is large, and it has a very spacious lawn, where you can be in the sun, near the pool, enjoying the most wonderful tuscan views.
Beautiful area for horsebackriding, the possibility to find your horse is at only 5km distance. The nearest restaurant is at a distance of 2km. All kitchens have a refrigerator with freezer.
Giulia-Cedro is a 3-room apartment, on the ground floor, completely renovated, rustic and tasteful furnishings: small living/dining room with TV. Exit to the terrace. 1 double room. 1 room with bunk bed. Kitchenette with dining table. Shower/bidet/WC. Terrace. Patio Furniture. Beautiful panorama view over the countryside.

About Volterra
Volterra is a beautiful and well maintained town. The city was founded by the Etruscan civilization on a hill viewing the surrounding landscape. It has 11.000 inhabitants, and a lot of tourists.
The Duomo on the San Giovanni Square was built in Roman Style, and has fine - 13th century chairs with sculpted panels, and many 'bas - reliëfs.
In the Palazzo dei Priori the governors of the town seated back in the Middle Ages. This Palace, of which the construction started in 1208, is one of the oldest of Tuscany.
In the Museum Guarnicci many traces of Etruscan life are shown. In addition, there are a few museums with paintings.
Impressive is the Roman Theatre, which dates back to the first century BC.
The fortress of the 'Medici' is in good condition and still in use as a state prison.
This lively small town ofcourse has many bars and restaurants. It has a cosy atmosphere. In the evening, when the tourists have gone home, you can enjoy the authentical silence and peacefulness, that reigns there for ages already
