The house 'Averani' is located in the medieval village Montefoscoli. This holiday house on the ground floor is very well looked after, entirely restored, while paying respect ot the old medieval structures of the house. The thick walls keep the house deliciously cold, also in the middle of the summer.

About Montefoscoli
The quiet village Montefoscoli (600 inhabitants) is situated among the gently sloping hills of the Valdera, and has a great view towards Volterra and Pisa.
Small shops, a restaurant, two bars, postoffice.
The rural committee looks after guided tours in the 'Museo dellla Civiltà Contadina' and the 'Museo Andrea Vaccà'. You can also visit the temple which Andrea Vaccà, inhabitant of Montefoscoli and famous doctor in the Empire period, built in 1823, 1km outside of Montefoscoli
The Vespaclub has its seat here (in Pontedera, nearby, is the Vespa-museum)
For the rural festivals in May and in September everyone in the village is really committed. This is a village where tradition is important, and community sense a fact.
In the surroundings of Montefoscoli beautiful walks can be made. Tenant gets descriptions for these walks, a plan, and tips for restaurants, markets, dinners at individuals, cook at your home adress, tasting of Tuscan dishes etc.
